Guest speaker, Nancy Plumer, President, New Visions

Can you imagine employees coming to work energized, smiling, grateful and committed? Stress, overload and overwhelm are common experiences for workers today. Stress in the workplace reduces productivity, increases management pressures and makes people ill in many ways. The total health and productivity cost of worker stress to American business is estimated at $50-$150 billion annually. There are strong economic and financial reasons for organizations to manage and reduce stress at work, aside from the obvious humanitarian and ethical considerations.

We will explore stress management and wellness, experience some simple techniques to reduce stress and learn about programs and approaches to reducing stress in the workplace.
